All About The Process
Letterpress printing is a technique that goes back all the way to the 15th century. While the materials used have changed some in the last 600 years, the general idea is the same. We use polymer plates to press your design in ink into soft papers, creating an impression you can both see and feel.
While we love letterpress, it isn’t the only printing technique we use! We also love foil stamping, which uses a metal die that’s heated and presses metallic foils into paper, creating sharp and beautiful detail. We also do our own full color digital printing in house, including white ink on colored papers and envelopes.
No matter what your design calls for, we always try to approach it the same way – with careful attention to detail and a desire to create beautiful wedding stationery.
Your Choice of Paper
We love printing on cotton papers that allow for a deeper letterpress impression, like Lettra or handmade papers. However, the sky is the limit when it comes to choosing a paper to print on! We source paper from all over and can custom order any paper that you can dream up. One of our favorite things to do is help our clients find the perfect paper for their projects. Let us know what you’re thinking and we will get to work digging into our library of swatch books to find the right match.
It’s usually the little details of a project that turn a regular wedding invitation into something completely unforgettable. We always say the wedding invitation sets the tone for the event to come. It is the first way for a guest to form an impression of what’s in store on the big day. Details like belly bands, custom die-cut shapes, and vellum wraps and overlays are a fantastic way to tie the invitation suite together and make the invitation stand out from the crowd. We love working with designers and creating these details for our clients.
- Place Cards
- Table Numbers
- Wedding Signage
The envelope can be just as important as the invitation itself. While matching envelopes for both the invitation and response card are the norm, many couples are now finding inspiration using a pop of color that matches the wedding theme.
Envelope liners are a nice touch that add something special to the invitation suite as a whole. Solid colors, patterns, or even artwork that coordinates with the invitation can be printed and cut to shape to fit the inside of any size of envelope. Liners can be printed digitally, using letterpress, or foil stamping to create a dazzling touch.
Another service we provide is guest addressing. Each address is printed perfectly on envelopes, as an alternative to calligraphy or painstakingly writing out each address by hand. White ink digital printing on colored envelopes is another modern and beautiful method to finish your invitation suite.
