A seal made of brass
The seal on a certificate starts as a brass die, engraved in reverse and locked into the press. Under heat and pressure it moves the paper itself, leaving a mark you could find with your eyes closed.
We won't pretend paper is a bank note. But a deep impression and a foil seal on heavy cotton stock are hard to fake convincingly, and the people who buy fine watches, jewelry, and editioned prints know the difference when they hold it.
We print every piece in our letterpress studio in Alexandria, Louisiana, and ship nationwide. Tell us what you make and how it ships, and we'll help you plan the certificate and everything that travels with it.
